Motorola Z10 Review

Can this humble phone really replace a camera?
Image

It might only have a 3MP sensor, but the Z10 is well worth a look. Solid and well built, slide out the phone and it neatly curves to fit around your face (trust us, it's comfier than it sounds).
You need to keep the Z10 shut to use the camera; or else the secondary camera starts up. Auto focus is quick, and while the LCD seems small, there's little lag and it copes well with different lighting conditions. There are no real surprises with the camera features, which are all easily selectable. Sadly the flash is LED, so will struggle with larger spaces, and you can select from several scene modes, the white balance and sharpness.

Alongside fast HSDPA downloads, you get Sky Anytime, but it's the video features where the Z10 shines. You can shoot and edit movies in camera and add sound effects, although why you'd want to do this on a 2.2in screen is beyond us.

WE LOVE : Easy to use,Strong build
WE HATE : Only 3MP sensor
WE SAY : More video player than snapper. Moto's slider's more for budding Spielberg's than David Bailey's
