Product Review
The BlackBerry is now in India. It started its life as a two-way paging device. Now, you can also use it to make phone calls and send emails. The BlackBerry was a huge hit in the U.S. 2-3 years back when people used it as an email client and now it has made a transition to a smart phone.
The BlackBerry 7730 is not just a phone but also a very reliable office manager. It can do all the functions a PDA can do from emailing to surfing and document transferring to being totally synchronised with your computer. It runs on a Java developed platform, based on open standards and has a tri-band wireless network. This basically means the 7730 allows international roaming in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
The BlackBerry has a large colour display screen that supports 65000 colours. what the phone does lack however is a touch screen and a camera. But honestly how dependent would one be on their phone camera is a debateable issue. The phone has a spool on the side that helps one jog through the features of the phone and a rather well spaced keypad making it easier to type on it.
Another problem one could face on this phone is that it only allows you to view attachments. You cannot edit them. The BlackBerry does have a USB port and can be connected to the computer.
