Installing windows xp in DELL INSPIRON 1420

This specification may or may not match urs.......But all r the same....

Here are the specs on my machine so you can compare them to yours. If you’re running Intel integrated video or Intel wireless you can easily find drivers on their site.

First of all ....the easier option is to simply set the hard drive to SATA mode in the BIOS....

DO NOT FORMAT UR DELL WITH ANY OTHER EXTERNAL SOFTWARES. BOOT WITH UR "DELL MEDIA DIRECT CD" WHICH HAS A QUICK FORMAT OPTION

After formatting it ..Ur OS cd/dvd will be asked to be inserted into ur drive...... Then u can vrooooom thro' just like that...
