Making It Black and White
Sometimes it might be necessary to add to your video the effect of old movies, when all of the colors are represented as tints of black and white. We have a pretty "colored" video example here.

So what should we do to "old" our input video? Simply use the Grayscale effect for this. First, it's necessary to start the AVS Video Converter and open our input file. After that click the Edit button to open the Edit Input File(s) window. The Grayscale effect converts color images to the gray scale palette: black (0) and white (255). The effect has two variations: desaturate and intensity. To add it just do the following:
1. At the effects toolbar click the Add button. Then select Adjust -> Grayscale

2. Set the type of grayscale: it could be either Desaturate or Intensity.

Take a look at the preview!!! The video loses all of the colors and becomes black and white only!
